Mukdara Beach Villa & Spa Resort

The Hotel as such and its Garden are Amazing. It is romantica and charming to walk through the gardens. However, you can tell that either there is no more money left for renovation etc. or they just do not care anymore. This is a real pity, as it is beautiful though. 5 more years and it will definitely lose one more star. After 3 days we decided to have breakfast outside, as the instant coffee, super sweet juices and untasty croissants did not make breakfast enjoyable. Location is top, just make sure you do not get any bungalow close to the street. Otherwise you can hear rock concerts until midnight;-).

My wife stayed here 3 nights. It was a beautiful hotel. Staff were very accommodating and nice. Have a huge pool and many walking paths. The beach area is not very crowded and quiet. The daily breakfast was very good. Hotel is walking distance to town and many restaurants. Our room was very clean and bed comfortable. My wife enjoyed big bath tub.

Exceptional hospitality, very clean rooms and hotel grounds, very green and with hotel grounds with coconut and mango trees. Very good Thai cuisine and we like the breakfast very much. Both the reception, waiters and management are extremely friendly and helpful. We feel very comfortable and don't want to leave. We have eaten here and there in outside for lunch and dinner, but then we stayed in the hotel and mostly ate from here. It is very nice and feels welcome always and every day. Highly recommended. We stay here all together 14 nights und today is the 8th day.

We visited this hotel as a family of three (a couple with a 1 year old child) for 1 week in December 2021 / January 2022. This hotel is set in a beautiful landscape in a great location on the beach and close to many restaurants. The garden villas are absolutely lovely, surrounded by green and the peaceful sound of birds/nature (it was especially great to have the little balconies to spend time on while our baby napped). In addition to being spacious enough for a small family, the villas also have a massive bathtub and luxurious outdoor shower that we loved. The breakfast is pretty good, with the basics and enough diversity to give you a good start to the day. There is a massage cabana near the ocean with great massages available throughout the day (at a reasonable price). The staff are also very kind, helpful and friendly. Cons: very hard pillows, no baby high chair in the restaurant (only ones made for toddlers), half the machines are broken in the fitness room, the pool by the ocean is quite dirty, and the coffee place and pool bar are closed (I assume due to covid meaning less guests/income).

Very nice hotel with easy access to the Khao Lak Beach. The staff was very friendly and they followed all the covid related precautions and documenting during this pandemic situation. The rooms were perfect and clean. Breakfast was nice with mix of Thai and western food. There 2 pools, one normal pool and the other overlooking the beach. Perfect on the evening. Overall a great hotel for a great price.

Welcomed with a cold Wash rag & some local juice that was delicious. Escorted to our room & shown around. The breakfast which is included is very high quality from local dishes, omelette bar, assorted fruits, and fresh coffee. They offer everything from massages, a gym, and numerous bars. Within walking distance is multiple small shops and restaurants. Such a awesome place. The resort also has a private entrance that is manned 24/7 by a guard adding piece of mind to a already safe place. No concerns what so ever.

I'll start with the postitves. First impressions of the resort were fantastic - It looks lovely and the grounds are beautiful. The pools in particular are great and there are a large number of sunbeds, especially by the beach. The breakfast is also very good with excellent service staff, who constantly refill your Tea/Coffee... although there are many good breakfasts available on the main road for around 150 baht if you stay elsewhere. The room was very nicely furnished with a very spacious bathroom and a nice homely feel. However, there are some serious drawbacks to the resort. The staff at reception are at best, impolite. Often, just rude. The WiFi works well if you're on the beach sunbeds but it is almost non existent in the room. Unless you want to be cut off from the world, you need to buy a large data package or stay elsewhere. It really is horrific. And again, the staff. When I complained to the reception staff about the WiFi, they could barely hide their eye rolls. I appreciate they must get this complaint numerous times a day, but is that the customers fault? Of course it isn't. Asking to book the Tennis Court and similar mundane things seemed to be a great inconvenience as well. The food for lunch is mediocre and you'll find a dozen or more excellent restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Unless the sun has sapped your energy there's no joy to eating here. Overall, this is a resort that either used to be excellent and it's standards have slipped or perhaps it was never particularly good and with a little more care (and new reception staff!) It could justify it's price tag. As it is now, I wish we had stayed at one of the other resorts dotted along this stretch of coast
